Christian Benteke out for a month

Christian Benteke has been ruled out of action until May due to a knee injury.

A scan has shown that the Liverpool striker picked up slight ligament damage while on international duty. The news comes as a huge blow for the 25-year-old who is trying to save his Anfield career.

Injury or not, Reds’ boss Jürgen Klopp will look at moving him out of the club in the summer providing a suitable transfer fee can be recouped. But with former boss Brendan Rodgers having spent £32.5million on him last summer, it’s obvious that if he is sold, that the club will take a hit on the fee.
