China Everbright deny Liverpool FC talks

China Everbright say they are not in talks to purchase a stake in Liverpool Football Club.

Chief Executive Chen Shuang claims he’s not aware of any talks having being held in relation to such an investment.

“I really don’t know where the media sources come from,” said Shuang. “I called everyone who might be involved and found no one was aware of this deal.”

Liverpool owners Fenway Sports Group (FSG) insist that they are not interested in selling the club but have admitted that they would consider a partnership with a minor investor.
