Former Liverpool goalkeeper Brad Jones has signed for NEC Nijmegen in Holland.
The 33-year-old was released by Liverpool in June 2015 after his contract demands were rumoured to have backfired which left him having to find employment elsewhere. An offer that was made to him was allegedly withdrawn by Anfield officials after both sides failed to agree terms.
He went on to sign a 1-year contract with Bradford City in August 2015 but that was cancelled by mutual agreement just a couple of months later leaving him without a club.
A statement issued by his new club said: “After a positive medical examination, NEC Monday signed an agreement with the Australian goalkeeper Brad Jones.
“Jones signed a contract until June 30, 2016 and is a free transfer to NEC.”
