Aston Villa boss Remi Garde wants to cut short Tiago Ilori’s loan deal and send him back to Liverpool this month, claim reports today.
The 22-year-old centre-back was signed on a season-long deal by former Villa boss Tim Sherwood in September but he was sacked a month later.
Ilori hasn’t made a single appearance for Villa and has only made their match-day squad once.
Liverpool can recall the Portugal Under-21 international this month and Villa want to take advantage of that if possible.
Ilori was signed by Liverpool back in 2013 from Sporting Lisbon for £7million. Since then he’s had loan spells with Granada, Bordeaux and Villa after failing to break into the Liverpool first team set-up.
