Liverpool Football Club are planning contract talks with midfielder Adam Lallana.
The 28-year-old, who scored his second league goal of the season in Saturday’s 4-1 demolition of Champions Leicester City, has become a reliable member of Jürgen Klopp’s side and he certainly appears to be playing his best football since coming in for £25million from Southampton back in 2014.
His current contract runs until 2019 but Liverpool officials don’t want to see his contract run down. Contact has already been made with the player’s representatives and the Reds hope to see things resolved before the end of the season.
Dejan Lovren, Emre Can, Divock Origi and Alberto Moreno all have similar durations remaining on their deals. It’s a no brainer that the club are also looking at these, although many supporters may expect to see Moreno depart the club.
