That is what you want to see from a manager. Not this rubbish about how we're struggling or players lack confidence; but rather how we're going to fix it, what we need to do to start winning again. He stresses how everyone has to be working together, which is the most critical thing ("If you're lost in the dark stick together, and you'll get through it" [paraphrasing Sir Bob]). He never once gives the impression he's happy with a draw, because he knows your position on the table comes down to how many games you win, not how many games you didn't lose. He doesn't raise expectation other than to essentially say "We're going to do our best to play good football, and take it from there". Which is right, because I don't think anyone really knows the value of this squad any more, even though I still believe that if they pull together they should fear no one. He also makes it clear that the players need to pull their socks up without blaming them for bad performance.

Like I said; everything one expects from a good manager. The bloody Chinese TV station had better be showing the game, because I feel more confident now than at any stage so far this season. I'm not worried if we lose; I'm only worried about us not trying to win.

Boy have we miss these interviews.

If he can fire up the boys, who knows what will happen this season? Make no mistake, Scum will field their best team. Slur Alex knows the we will be up for it.

God its amazing how the greats of the game even interview differently, Kenny has a job on his hands to motivate this squad, but in fairness he is the only one who can. I like the fact that its not "O i have to bring in my players to solve everything".

Good luck Kenny and thanks for coming home YNWA

I don't think he is the right man but we are where we are. Good interview and it gives some positivity but remember when Kenny was sucesfull at LFC we were the best club in Europe and winning the league regularly that was the club he took over from Fagan and Paisley. We also had massive transfer funds reletively and he spend big on the best players around at that time. Totally different situation now. Got to look forward though I am right behind him and I think we may get a result today on the optimisim factor and it will gee up the travelling LFC fans at OT. Hopefully I am totally wrong and this is step one on the path to getting this club great again.

Great interview. He brings a sense of excitement and optomism so lets hope that rubs on the players to get them pumped up.

Fair enough about what you say Stanley, but dont you think it's easy to remember the good part of his reign as manager, what about the end, the terrible defensive tactics, three centre halfs and two full back subs on the bench when you could only have two subs, the David Speedie transfer's along with Jimmy Carter. The playing for a draw against Arsenal when the gunners won the league last kick and then the walking away and leaving us in the lurch. I know you are not as extreme as some on here but you do need to balance it up a bit, Dalglish was good the first part of his reign, produced my fav all time team but the second part was terrible, very defensive with bizzare decisions...
