Lille star Eden Hazard has rejected an approach from Liverpool.

Hazard has already declared he wants to play for Arsenal - comments which were reciprocated by Gunners boss Arsene Wenger on Friday.

Liverpool were told they have little chance of signing Hazard from Lille, says the Sunday Mirror.

Belgian winger Hazard, 19, is wanted by Sir Alex Ferguson as well as Jose Mourinho and sources in France say he’s likely to head for Manchester United or Real Madrid rather than risk a move to a club in transition.

Eden Hazard, the young midfielder for Belgium and French club Lille OSC, has showed his desire for a move to Arsenal and Liverpool. Apparently, the midfielder has rejected a move to Chelsea and is also thinking about rejecting Real Madrid.

Hazard is one of the most promising young starlets of Europe and is reportedly already demanded everywhere at the age of 19 years. Real Madrid, Arsenal and other clubs have recently shown interest in the youngster and, according to the British press, Roy Hodgson, the manager of Liverpool, is also keeping an eye out for the player. He was recommended to Real Madrid by the legendary Zinedine Zidane. However, Hazard has said that his prospects of first-team football at Bernabeu are not good due to which he has decided to move to London instead. In Madrid, according to Hazard, he would be up against Cristiano Ronaldo and Kaka for a place in the first-team, and the possibility of actually landing a spot with the starting eleven seems a distant possibility.

During his press interview, Eden Hazard also said that he rejected a move to Chelsea because he did not see great prospects there either. In Arsenal, however, there would be plenty of opportunities for a place in the first-team, which would help him grow at a much rapid pace. Eden also admitted that an interest is being shown by Liverpool, which could be another likely destination for the youngster if he is really looking for a place in the starting XI of a great club.

It is a lot for a 17 year old but we passed up the chance to get Aguero for the same sort of amount and look at him now. We should take a chance once in a while. As they say, a faint heart never [oops] a pig!

The kid looks like he has a load of talent, great pace, good ball control and strong on the ball too! Would be a valuable addition to the squad I say and at 17 he could be what the new owners are looking for. From the few clips I've seen he could be awesome in the future.
