Ok fellow Reds, I see every pundit has had their say about who they think will win the league this year. Amazingly Phil McNulty tips Liverpool to win it! but most are saying it'll be the mancs with the chavs a close 2nd...

So what's it to be? Opinions from the heart and one from the head:

Heart: 1st Liverpool - Neverton, Chavs & Mancs all relegated
Head: 1st Liverpool or Chavs - 2nd ditto - 3rd mancs - 4th man city 5th the arse-alls

IF ancelotti learns quickly, then I think the chavs will be a big threat as they have a settled side with experience and quality.
I think manc city will put extra pressure on the mancs - derbies will be harder and no more 6 point guarantees! laugh the mancs may buy a big player before the window closes. I hope they don't cos i really wonder how they will cope with the loss of gaylord and tevez - how much will the OAP's of scholls and giggs have to give to the side this season?
Le Arse will play wonderful footy but they need to sign someone who can lead the team. I think they will find it hard to get 4th if they don't.

Liverpool - IF Gerrard and Torres can stay fit for the main part as with mash and the centre backs I think we have a really good chance. With Johnson and Aquilani we have much more options in attack. I think we may leak more goals but the amount we score will make up for that. I cannot see too many home draws either this season.

My heart obviously says Liverpool 1st with no 19 and big celebrations all round.
We really clicked into gear for the last 10 or so games of last season and scored goals for fun.
We had Gerrard,Torres and Kuyt who got double figures and if our strike partnership stays free of injury-we should do well.
Riera should also be more settled now and Benayoun always brings something different.
Glen Johnson should chip in with more assists and even a goal or 2 and Aquilani will be more attacking-looking forward to see what he can do.
Let's just hope our defence can stay injury free and we will be good to go.

Think Chelski will do well as they have a settled side.
Not sure about manure as I think they will miss the hard work of Tevez and the goals of CR.
Man City will get a european place but won't challenge the top 3

Nah! Head & heart Liverpool. We did it last season against the other 3 main teams and lost the league dropping points with the home draws. Get that right & repeat our performances like last season & you can see why Phil McNulty made his prediction.

I think Chelsea are still in the balance, new manager, old aged team. It won't click straight away. The Manure will be the same as they are consistent. The only difference with them will be if the OAP in charge is carted off to a home as dementia sets in. Man City should be up there, but their manager isn't good enough. Arsenal will be the same, hot and cold & I don't think Everton will be as good as last season. They play well one season & then crap the next, they need a bigger squad.

Is it too much of me to ask for a trip to Wembley this season?

I also think we'll be more attacking with Johnson at full back and Aquilani who will play further forward than Alonso... please back-up for Torres though!

well I would go for a draw... Lets go game by game.. A draw here is worth it. A win for Pool will be a bonus 3 pts... Spurs is not an easy team to play at their back yard...

a scoring draw with Lucas among the goals!!2-2
