In some ways NESV are being very dignified in their handling of the situation. Especially with Roy talking about 'this is the apex of my career; talk which is intended to appeal to the heart strings for a loyal servant of football. I for one pray that he's gone. But It still upsets me to hear the level of abuse aimed at a man who is trying his best even if that, unfortunately, is not good enough.
To be honest, after 25 years of following the mighty reds this is the worst I have seen us play (bar the odd game under GH and GS). Benitez gets his criticism but in the season where we finished 2nd - that was the best i've seen since the glory days.
