Everyone must of noticed that Rafa changed the team today, is that because he wants to use a set amount of core players in each game and rotate the others. We all know that we will need to be on our toes if we want to take the PL title and if we can keep up the good results we may be able to take the CL Final too, is this what Rafa thinks when he rotates?
It was quite logical to rotate against Newcastle as it was our second game in 2 days. You could see that Keane was paining to complete the 90 mins against Bolton and was quite logically kept on the bench (even if i would have preferred to see him on the pitch for a few minutes yesterday)
And i'm also very pleased that Raffa has not rotated the team like he used to do the past seasons, you could see that he has been making only 3-4 changes in most league/inportant matches, and keep a core number of players (Reina, Arbeloa, Carragher, Kuyt, Gerrard, Alonso, Reira, Keane). We can expect to see more of Insua, Torres & Skrtel/Agger in the second half of the season... And against Newcastle he kept the same defensive line-up which started against Bolton for stability...
That more like a title winning team...
