id totally put these players we are aparently intrested in down 2 the platini 6+5 rule and the need 4 british players. Nowere near good enough,rather put a bit more money towards wheater if we are after these type of player

We have enough cover at the back. In my opinion. If torres is injured for few games, we going have a problem.

i think if they sign shawcross, turner or distin or any of these guys for cover it would be bad news. if all these guys are being signed for is for cover, what message does that send out to the local younsters coming through? "that's it lads keep trying hard cos if agger or skrtel get injured, you're still not getting a game"

yes I agree with you Drome to a point and I would love to see these lads get a run out. But obviously IF the management is looking at these other players for cover it must mean that they don't feel that the youngsters are not up to it yet. Why else would they not be chosen? Not as if we have bags of cash to throw about.
Anyway it's just rumours again and therefore holds about as much water as a soggy paper bag with loads of holes in it...

i think its fear of giving the kids ago that makes the managers rush out and buy a ready made player rather than giving a youngster the chance to grow into the role ....... sending them out on loan does nothing - the only way they will make it is to be given a proper chance ..... a real run in the side and when they have an off day, which they will, they need to be kept in and given a little bit of confidence that they are rated
