Happy New Year Fellow Reds,

When I heard the Cole goal had gone in I was actually mixed and shocked by the fact I wasn't chuffed to win. I was actually neutral to it.

Was that just me? Or has Roy's reign done that to others. COs a draw or loss would have meant a definitive change of managers!

Anyway, Dunk's latest suggests that we are after a boss who is already employed who is under contract until summer 2012.

That's when Deschamps contract is up at Marseille.

Would you be happy with this appointment?

Personally I would. He's done a great job at every club (albeit in a short career so far). He got Juventus back into Serie A after their relegation/scandal and only left after problems with the owners. And he has broken the Lyon stranglehold and made Marseille champs!

He is a young manager that can grow with the team. And funnily enough, for a player who was no frills but effective, he plays a good brand of attacking football!

With Commoli being French as well...... It all points to a Spain to France transition!

Your thoughts, people?

From the latest piece of new on Koptalk and the managers we've been linked with in papers and on Koptalk, only a few managers meets all specific details in the latest news on Koptalk.

The managers we're linked with,
Didier Deschamps,
Roberto Martinez,
Kenny Dalglish,
Rafa Benitez,
Martin O'neil
Frank Rijkaard,
Manuel Pelligrini,
Villas Boas,
Juergen Klopp,
Ralf Rangnick,
Guus Hiddink,
Owen Coyle,

The news tells us that the manager we want is Employed and has a contract till 2013,
The employed managers are:
Coyle
Hiddink
Klopp
Villas Boas,
Pelligrini,
Martinez,
Deschamps,

Finaly out of these managers only two have a contract till 2013 (2 years): Villas Boas and Manuel Pelligrini,

I think it's fair to say it's not going to be Pelligrini if the new managers meant to be new and upcoming which fits Villas Boas, also the fact Malaga Pelligrini's current club have new Arab Owners and are spalshing cash alredy.

So new LFC manager if koptalk is right can only be Andre Villas Boas!

I really hope it's Boas, paying the money to pay off his contract to get him will be the best transfer we've made in years.

If this was how you felt then you have a serious problem. Hoping that losing drawing games is going to sack a manager is pathetic. If you are a true Liverpool fan you would have hit the roof on Saturday when Cole scored in the same way you would have done it 2 or 3 years ago in any other league game.

Get a grip! Do you support the team or not?

Was gonna say much the same myself, Rafarendum. It's precisely because we support this team that we want the most definite proof of that man's incompetence in order to insure his immediate removal. We want what is best for the club, and Hodgson is very, very far from the best for us.

If we at least looked like contenders for 6th, with several promising signings, if he demonstrated tactical ability, or was able to think on his feet when things are going wrong on the pitch, had a mouth that supported and defended the team etc, none of the furore around him would exist and we would all be 100% behind him. But because he lacks every single one of these attributes we know he's not up to the task, and we fear where he may lead us.

If dropping 2 points against Bolton would have insured he was sacked the next day, I had taken the draw with pleasure. One win isn't going to eradicate all the mistakes he's made, nor provide proof of his true ability, and one draw at the start of January certainly would not see us relegated.

It is pathetic as it is only our own logic that said next defeat must spell end of RH. If we are to have any hope in the ownership of the club it would be to say they aren't irresponsible enough to go game to game and be swung by one victory/defeat. My hope was to win and loss RH and I still think tha will be the case.

Also in the deductions as to who is the next manager you have misquoted, Dunx never said when the contract ended, he said is was AT LEAST 2012, not that it ended in 2012.

This is a good point, though in all honesty I believe that puts a little too much trust in our owners to understand football. Owners are notorious for not understanding football however (look at the sacking of Hughton), and ours don't even come from a football background. Frankly if they understood that 12th at the end of December was not good enough they should just have sacked him outright, but you probably find they wanted to make sure someone would come in and take over the reigns, and that would not have been concluded prior to the Bolton game. In which case they should just have said nothing, and sacked him the moment his successor could sign a deal rather than all this ultimatum cr*p. Don't forget they intended to have him see out the season, but he clearly went too far by allowing us to lose to Wolves in the manner we did.
