[quote=Reclaim The Club Mark my words the Club in the future will regret not looking after the young local fans coming through.
Why let it get to that point? With new owners who are learning, I'm sure they'd be open to fans ideas whether for a revamped Anfield or a new stadium. With the pending economic doom and gloom, faling gates etc. now would be the ideal time to put together a constructive suggestion about how local youngsters can be encouraged to attend.
As for the main topic of this thread, if we get consistent performances and results like today I don't care who sits in the managers seat. It wasn't perfect but it was good to watch and much more like what we want to see on a regular basis. (caveat: I only saw the second half) [/quote]The Club will never help local's by encouraging ticket sales. The way it works is this, I like all other locals who go go to the match, turn up 5 minutes before the start, dont but Liverpool hot dogs for about a fiver, or lager about 4 quid or a programme for 3 quid and within 10 mins of the game finishing am in the local pub. An Out of Town fan will probably get to Anfield 3 hours before kick off, go round the museum maybe, go the souvenir shop and spend a load of cash, get in the ground early spend money on a programme, hot dogs, tea crisps e.t.c. and it's these fans the Club wants not me and an ordinary feller from Walton or Anfiels because we are not worth any money to them. An Out of Town fan will probably be staying in a City Hotel and as they are partners with Liverpool Football Club through the likes of Thomas Cook again it makes money for The City as well. So you see there is no way on earth Liverpool Football Club will encourage local fans coming through as they lose so much money, they picked money of identity which has already gone.
