hang on a second. reclaim you went on about the fact that more tickets should be made available to locals because too many oot's and glory hunters were snapping them up. but if there are empty seats because the glory hunters have all drifterd away, then where are all these impoverished die hard locals begging for a seat?
all sounds a bit aimless mate.

Maybe it's time Reclaim puts his money where his mouth is?
All vacant seats to be bought by Reclaim, and he can re-sell them to all his Die-Hard-LFC-Fan-Friends?
Of course without any profit, 'cause profit wouldn't be old school enough!

I sit in the centenary stand and all around me are locals but wherever you come from is £50 a ticket thats a lot of money for anyone. Please note Man Utd are now sending text messages tying to fill their stadium. I think we are reaching the tiping point re the prices.

KD...might just do a lot better than...RH?. He might but you are risking all. RH is a safer bet unpalatable as it is

all sounds a bit aimless mate. The tickets have already been bought in block bookings, if you look at where the seats where empty they were'nt random seats, they were empty blocks which the Club sells to outside organisations. The worst empty part was the Thomas Cook section at the corner of the Anfield Road upper, the very same section which remained shut when that Ash Cloud stopped flights coming in and out of the u.k, it was empty then too. I think the Club has now lost it's local support, to safegaurd the support they should of made match tickets available to younger fans throughout the City instead of charging full wack and selling them outside, because of this kids have grown up never knowing what it's like to go the match and when tickets ever do come available on the odd occasion those same kids would rather buy a playstaion 3 game instead of buying amatch ticket for 45 quid. Mark my words the Club in the future will regret not looking after the young local fans coming through.

Why let it get to that point? With new owners who are learning, I'm sure they'd be open to fans ideas whether for a revamped Anfield or a new stadium. With the pending economic doom and gloom, faling gates etc. now would be the ideal time to put together a constructive suggestion about how local youngsters can be encouraged to attend.
As for the main topic of this thread, if we get consistent performances and results like today I don't care who sits in the managers seat. It wasn't perfect but it was good to watch and much more like what we want to see on a regular basis. (caveat: I only saw the second half)

LFC have taken a massive chance on RH and so far it has not workout. only 35,000 turned up today, that is saying something.
So giving the job to KD, as caretaker manager, until the right manager can be signed, i think it is a gamble worth taking. can't do any worse than RH. at least with KD in charge, their will be a full house at Anfield ok KD has not managed in the top flight for donkeys years, but the ball is still round, 11 players against 11, (unless UEFA have just changed the rules lol.).
If KD was given the job, he wud be very wise/smart and bring in x players like Thommo, Neal, Rush, Aldridge, Molby, who are savvy enuff to work alongside KD and they know/understand the kind of football, that is being played in the EPL, Europe now, in terms of formations, style and what players are class, average or poor. I really dont think you should look to much into the attendence, it was the first game after xmas when everyone is skint and also since the Club has started to to slide into a mid table Club over the last few years, the backbone of the Clubs support which is predominantley Gloryhunting ones have slowly drifted away as expected, you can see United attendences have suffered a bit but not as much. So boxing day came before christmas this year ?

I think that theory might prove wrong! The reason the blocks were empty during the ash disaster has little to do with today's emptiness, simply 'cause most of the foreign visitors book their trips weeks ahead and can't just cancel when LFC decide to start playing bad football! I think it may have more to do with how the weather has been like the last couple of weeks! I for one wouldn't want to take a chance on a Liverpool trip and find myself fücked just because the match was cancelled due to bad weather. I hope I'm right anyway!
