Perhaps its Roys tactics?

But I have been reserving judgement on this guy until I saw him in the flesh which I did last night. I know he is getting played out of piosition, but 14m for that?

Over-rated in my opinion. I know he is highly thought of and perhaps I am being unfair maybe if we get a new gaffer we may see the best of him but from what I have seen he is average at best. Ok passer, cant tackle and ball watches an awful lot and cant score.

On another note can the Lucas clingers on please accept this man is a squad player and should be no where near the first team. He never picks a man up and is consistently ball watching. We are shocking at the moment.

Can I just make it clear that I am not assasinating Raul I am merely pointing out that for 14 million pounds I would expect a little more from him.

Look at the value other teams have got for less - VDV - 8 mill for spurs, even Ben Arfa on Loan at the Toon showed more in 3 games.

I fear this is going to be another player that has potential but just cant produce for the once Mighty Reds

raul is a decent player when he is in the centre and performs a lot better in the centre so i wouldent judge him just yet hel prove to be a good signing, its a shame the rest roy signed wont.

I think meireles is a steel at that price he just

Gerrard should not have played. Yes he is a great player but sticking him in after a month on the sidelines Jesu. Mareiles was played out of position he is not a right winger nor is Dirk a left winger.


Woy doesnt have a fucken clue. Konchesky is utter [oops]. Agger should have had at least 30 minutes. Ngog is fucken useless at best.

Joe Cole is even more useless. Here is the thing good players doesn't get bad overnight or in half a season. Roy should go before we end up being relegated. FFS

Sell Skrtel, The Greek, Konchelsky, Ngog, Lucas, Johnson, Kuyt and get some new blood or give the fucken reserves a go. They have done some decent stuff in the Europa!!!

Raul is a good player and when played in his natural CM possition is very good. Roy just [oops] it up (again) by putting him wide right which he never has been and never will be.

I think he is a good player and will be a great player after a year to settle how can you judge anybody when the team is like this it is actually a credit to him coming into this crap being the best player for us at times , John Barnes was spot on last night when he said that Meireles and Cole will be only at their best when we start playing well so give them a few years ....

a topic on a new signing being average instead of a very good player, being played out of position in a faltering team....


surely more important things to be worrying about, like the players that have been there for seasons and a performing garbage!

we paid 11,5m for him.

he will prove to be a good player for us. just needs to be used in the right way and more importantly in his right position.
