it is reported in the press that Lucas is demanding more first team action which he will get, as Aquilani is not fully fit yet. but how strong is the possibility of him moving back to Brazil? (which we should atleast get our 6m back, or we should not do business)

Is that the reason why Lee Cattermole is being linked heavily with Liverpool?

id have cattermole for lucas any day

Well he is english, and would add more strength to the heart of our midfield.

but is he a better passer? is he a good tackler? I truly haven't seen enough of him to have a solid opinion on him.

There are conflicting reports about Lucas
Some saying he has talked to teh Corinthians president and is interested with the world cup coming up.
Others saying how he wants to get more game time and is improving.

Let him go if he wants out and replace him with either Cattermole,Martinez or Defour

cattermole a better all round player than lucas and english ideal but i dont think he the same caliber as defour look at this he only

lucas wont go coz rafa loves him too much..dunno why but he does.
But that defour lad looks gud..id have him or cattermole anyday to lucas.

i would get defour and sell lucas but lee catermole he would cost about 11 million and from what i hear about him we have a player just like him for free (jay spearing) it would be a waste of 10/11 million if you ask me

but i think theres something sexual goin on with rafa and lucas coz he always plays him when hes in brutal form! which is quite often..

Lucas was a box-to-box fat frank style midfielder when he won player of the tournament in the U19 world cup.

He's been creatively restrained by Rafa, asked to sit deep more and wasn't amazing at the task. I'd give him one more season's grace. Rafa sees him in training every day, so there must be something there. Maybe he can't bring it to the pitch on a Saturday, but he needs to start doing it. FAST.
