I think we need to spend the rest of the alonso money on a decent striker to cover for torres.. eggnog and vornin not gud enuf cover in my opinion.
Anyone have any rumours or ideas of a new striker coming in before the start of the season?

yes u r rite mate, either villa or aguero wil partner torres imo.

nemeth, babel, kuyt, pacheco, ngog, voronin could play in a partnership i really like our 3 youngsters in that list so unless we can sign another torres' class striker i.e villa than i would prefer us not to sign a new striker

decent cover is being generous. we won't win the league with them as cover, unless we get extremely lucky with injuries.

I actually do not think Rafa will sign anyone else this season other than a defender as additional cover. Would love a big name signing, but realistically it won't happen.

Joel, I would love Villa to come, would guarentee us a tight title run-in again, which is what we all want. I just can`t see us being able to afford him, whether its £40 or £30mil. We`ve already "blown our bolt" on Johnson and Aquilani. Unless the yanks have deeper pockets than we give them credit for....???
