Roy said after the game "Newcastle notoriously difficult to beat at home".

Newcastle have lost 3 and drawn 3 and only won 2 games at home

what Newcastle was he referring too!!!!!!!!!!!

been saying so for a long time. give wilson a chance and bring in scott dann or gary cahill in january.

Wilson CB with Kelly RB, and we already have a more stable defence.

Totally agree! First goal was his and Konchesky's!

2:nd goal was his own all the way through!

It was so frustrating to see us losing after all that hope and dreams we lived in wishing for the next 9 fixtures to end with 27 points in our credit. But, I have to admit: some minutes we were so bad and others we were even worse.
Newcastle didn't play a great game, they just took advantage of our bad performance, unlike us. We had chances to score and gain more confidence in the first 15 minutes of 2nd half, and thus end the game in a better result. The contrary happened, they could score and make even more chances to score than we did due to our bad performance.
It was obvious that they played high balls, cross balls into our box so easily believing that Carrol could use them to score. And it was so obvious that we were unable to head these balls away. So, we should stop Guiterrez and Nolan from passing over our heads, that's by pressing on them and closing spaces into the box. And just a goal by a high ball. In addition, our back sides were always open and easy to pass through or even walk through. We couldn't block these areas better in the 2nd half. Weakness in backsides was also there against Villa. They pressed and possessed the ball so well in midfield.
I thought we had a better chance to penetrate through their depth. We could play all match and attack from both sides without scoring. Unlike if we penetrated their depth. They were so week in the defense depth, but unfortunately Roy didn't read that after the 1st half, nor Torres helped him to wish. Accordingly, I thought placing Kuyt as a striker with Torres and instructing midfielders to pass through fast balls into the depth would make a difference. Campel and Taylor were good headers but lousy in ground balls. May be replacing Torres the next 45 minutes wouldn't be a crime. Jovanovic, or Babel into the box as strikers may helped us better.
Torres didn't even bother himself to press on ball holder. And unfortunately, lads were relying on him which I saw by multiple attempts to get him the ball.
I still believe that Roy doesn't read games well, regardless my sympathy sometimes that his options rarely shape well. Soto is not a match-fit defender, and we should work on that too. I feel Kuyt is getting old. Torres lost his passion and his loyalty to Liverpool FC. " I hope my opinion about Torres is wrong".
I hope we get to champions league next season to have a good chance to convince good players to come to Liverpool. Then, we sell Torres for 60 Millions, hopefully. Then, get Thomas Muller, Gomes or Lucas Barrios and Adam Johnson. And of course working on Midfield and Defense....
Good Luck LFC... YOU'LL NEVER WALK ALONE

ALL DREAMS WILL BE REAL, WE ONLY HAVE TO BELIEVE!!!
