Shawcross is no better than what we have- in fact he will be a liability because of his reputation. Cahill would be a better option but too expensive. If we can get Mexes for 2mill a better option.

The rest of the bunch are just potential- not of them have proven themselves- therefore it would be a big risk. Subotic has been getting rave reviews for Dortmund but again 15mill for a CB is a lot of money.

The French and Belgian league are not eaxctly top quality and even the Italian league has been very poor for the last few years. I watch a lot of Spanish football and I think if we are going to buy overseas players then we should look at quality players in the Spanish league.

also i read in mirror today that liverpool are preparing a bid for cornor wickham for 10 mil...this actaually might be true as some days back comellleni said he would buy players as the clubs are now wiling to sell due to there monetory problems.....
but i'd be happy to see any of this + cassano in liverpool shirt...
