Roy is a manager with standards that pay off only if applied, he never had a real chance in his hands, got a corrupted team then burnt it down, didn't really get any money or time to negotiate players, Poulsen and Konchesky were the best he could've gotten at the time

gotta disagree with the rest, it wasn't up for Roy, he didn't push Aqua away, he couldn't buy Diarra coz he wanted to stay at Madrid, many players think like Diarra, Roy had to pick someone that he can convince personally and in budget range
