there's no way poulsen is the direct replacement for xabi unless rafa has gone mad.... and hopefully he hasn't

emp, is always black or white with you. players are either world beaters or absolute pants, no in between.
he does get a game for juve but new manager doesnt want him for whatever reason next season(think its wages + diego is in). he's a defensive midfielder limited in ability going forward but he breaks up play and has a good engine. always get a game for denmark, in fact i think he's always gotten a game whereever he's been. shalke, seville, juve. danish player of the year twice. i'd liken him to gattuso. anyway poulsen + 1 more big signing could work out very well for us.

i think that the deals are already in place to be honest, that is why rafa was so adamant for just cash. and i just hope that poulssen will be in Liverpool, but only as player for everton :P

I'd be happy with it. Very strong spine. Johnson adds pace down the right. Hopefully Young would add pace down the left.

poulsen played well for sevilla in la liga and i feel he woll be a reasonable signing for rafa!!

Poulsen should NEVER be considered for the Liverpool first XI. He has a terrible disciplinary record in a league that is notoriously slow-paced. Unless Gerrard is moved back into midfield, we desparately need a creative midfield playmaker, with an eye for goal - I'm hoping Sneijder will have a last minute rethink and join the Reds rather the Inter.

That will be 80% of the team for next season at least. And 80% of that team came 2nd last season. Riera might be on the left instead if Rafa cant get his targets.

arsenal could well do with a player like mash or poulsen. and barca would have mash in a heartbeat if they could afford him

Why is it intimated that Mascherano and Poulsen are similar players??? Yes, they are both right-footed, but Mascherano captains one of the strongest footballing nations - Poulsen plays for an average Denmark team. Mash is world-class and would fit into any top European team. The reason we struggled against ultra-defensive teams over the last few seasons is because of a lack of absolute-creativity from the middle of the park. Poulsen does not have that ability!

It's not worth havin ten left-to-right accurate passes, when it only takes one killer-ball to unlock a stubborn defensive system. The Premiership is all about fast-paced direct football.
