i dnt know what everyone problem will cole we dont need another world class striker we need stiker that can back into players we can get a llorente type player in the summer right now we need a makeshift striker with prem exp cole gives u that

Emp you have lost it on this one mate, Doyle is Wolves version of Kuyt. Works very very hard but is very very average when he has the ball. Not an LFC player at all.

Exactly, Cole wont mind being 2nd fiddle to Torres and in case of emergency he is there. And most importantly hes a proven goal scorer in the league. We need some time to get out of this hole we're in and by the end of the season, hopefully looking at a good sum of cash from Europa and FA Cup, we can snap up a better striker.

just my opinion but i totally disagree with this mind set. we've been signing 'make-shift' players for years and its got us nowhere. thats probably been down to financial factors but now we have money available we must make the most of it. look at some of the players during rafa's reign and players like poulsen, konchesky, maxi, jovanovic, n'gog and kyriagkos (ok he's done well this season but he was a make shift economic signing to replace hyypia). if we had of invested a considerable amount in any 1 of those positions we would be a much better side.

if we are aiming to contest for trophies and break back into the top four shouldn't we be looking to improve the squad long term? imo opinion £8.5m for cole would be a waste of money if we could land llorente in the summer. we never recoup the transfer fee we pay for players and we need to sign quality from now on. no more make shifts or squad players, this team needs improvement and without some major signings we will never get to were we aspire to be

Llorente is 31,i think he is to old for his price tag.
