Which is why he left, faz; no one is arguing with you (or emp or reclaim) on this point. He left and it was the right decision for everyone.
But was he replaced by someone worthy?
No.
Roy simply hasn't shown that he's got what it takes; in fact he's shown he definitely does not have what it takes to be the manager of a proud club like LFC. We struggle at home and are clearly not good enough away; that simply isn't good enough for a manager with a squad full of internationals at his disposal. So 5 months and 14 league games shows you does it that he's not up to the job, think if you gave every manager that amount of time to turn there Club's around then the Premier League would go through 20 managers as season. The dire hoof ball is excusable, some of the players not his signing`again i will stomach that, very poor performances im prepared to give him time...His lack of ambition to succeed..definately not welcome here.

For a manager with 35 years of experience where he was successful with less than a handful out of more than 15 clubs, all at minnow leagues? Absolutely! 5 months is plenty of time to realize that the results we are getting are in line with those during his career, and unless we plan to be another of his failure clubs we need to get rid of him immediately.

The fact is, that many fans not only see that the points number isn't good enough, but also that they recognise we don't even deserve that many points based on how we've played The same fact goes with every other team in the league this season not just ours, everyone has struggled even United and Chelsea. I could maybe understand a bit if it was just us having a bad season but it's not is it, why are no other supporters accept maybe West Ham's so against there manager, why are'nt Spurs fans calling for Harry's head when they are just three points better off than us and have only lost a game less, if people are going to argue against Hodgson it needs to be fair and it context with whats going on with everyone else at the same time, only then is it fair.

If Roy hodgson's name was Roysto Hodgino from river plate or madrid he would be a world class manager , because he is roy hodgson from fulham he is not thats why it will never be fair .

Nope he'd be still getting the sme sh!t no matter where he's from because of the dreadful brand of football he preaches.

Nope - he would be a world class manager because he had been successful (read: won silverware) in quality leagues (eg EPL, La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga). Just having a different name doesn't make him better or worse. HRH Hodgson's 35 years of plodding lead him to the heights of Fulham - that cannot be considered a world class achievement. Look at Villas Boas, for example. Is he world class? Perhaps, but who knows really. If he wins his league with Porto, then maybe he's world class, but then again Porto always win their league. Therefore he needs to do more than that to earn such an accolade, and he needs to do a great deal more than just be Portuguese. A trophy or two with Malmo carries no more weight, especially when they came so long ago even the Malmo fans have forgotten about them. The only people concerned about Roy's nationality are those who believe British is Better despite all the evidence to the contrary.

Spurs aren't calling for 'Arry's head because they beat Arsenal last week, and are top of their group in the Champions' League having beaten last season's CL champions. Winning helps. Playing to win also helps. Roy isn't playing to win, and therefore we aren't; that's the big difference.

Look, I'll accept that you have a point that everyone is struggling to a certain degree, Reclaim. United have a weak squad that can only manage to draw away from home. Chelsea have a midfield injury crisis and some issues with the manager. Arsenal still can't beat physical teams. But has this prevented them from being the top 3 sides for almost the entire season to date? No, it hasn't. Where were we, the supposed 4th member of the 'Big 4' by comparison? 19th for a week. Currently struggling to hold onto 9th, with an away game tomorrow that the manager has already given up on.
You also forget that Spurs don't regularly finish in the top 5 - so for them to be 7th at this point in the season is hardly reason enough to call for the head of a manager who pulled them off the bottom of the league and took them to the CL within 18 months, where they now lead their group and are guaranteed to progress to the knock-out stages.
Usual story - look at the whole picture.

the picture is we finished 7th last year, and are on the slide. we have nowhere near the players the other sides have and so roy must be given time to work. simple as that Gerrard. Reina. Torres. Meireles. Cole. Agger. Carragher. Krygiakos. Shelvey. Pacheco. Kelly. N'Gog. Kuyt. Ecclestone. Amoo. Johnson. Aurelio. You're right. No talent there. We should be lucky to escape relegation. Unlike teams like United who are at the top of the league despite relying almost entirely on Scholes and Hernandez. Never mind Blackpool who are ahead of us despite having been in the Championship at this stage last season. Or what about the hundreds of millions of pounds worth of squad that Man City continue to under-achieve with? When will you accept that the manager has a significant impact on the result? Roy has already had a great deal of time (40% of the season is gone already), but he has not been using it particularly well, and he needs to up his game (even though he firmly believes that is not necessary).

Get in there rafa 5-2 v parma
Above all, I would like to be remembered as a man who was selfless, who strove and worried so that others could share the glory, and who built up a family of people who could hold their heads up high and say
'We're Liverpool'.
