In terms of winning trophies, Liverpool still has the most of all English clubs, I believe. Is it right to be happy that we're now clear of the relegation places for such a club? No, it isn't.

You've bought into into mild-mannered Roy's illusion that mid-table mediocrity is right for Liverpool. You think it's disgraceful we've seen through him; you think it's disgraceful to not give him a chance when we gave him a chance and he failed. We've not called for the head of a manager this early before simply because previous managers have never failed our standards so quickly and to such a large degree, and he hasn't done anything that makes it seem he's about to improve any time soon. You're just so happy that Rafa isn't here, anything, anyone has to be better, and you're too afraid to admit we hired the wrong guy because it will make just about everything you thought and said about Rafa suddenly false.
You say we have never called for a manager so early because none have failed to meet our so called standards so early, so how do you explain Benitez then, he lost about 15 games in his first season and we got beat by Burnley in the first hurdle of the F.A.Cup, about a week later we got beat by Southampton away in a performance Alan Hansen stated was the worst from the worst Liverpool team in living memory. So can you tell me why fans gave Benitez a chance and not Hodgson and all this considering Benitez started his managership withb a stronger team than Hodgson. The way you are talking you would think we are out of fourth place already, we are currently three points off fifth place and only six off a champions league place so we are still oncorse to have a better season than last. If you look at some of the results we have had this season there have only really been two bad ones in Blackpool and Stoke, United and City were always going to difficult especialy away from home and Everton away is hard no matter because it's a derby, the victory we secured against Bolton looks an excellent one considering they just smashed Newcastle and the point against Birmingham also looks useful considering they have just beaten Chelsea. Apart from United, Chelsea have already lost four same as Spurs with City one less so you see everyone is picking up defeats not just us. Roy Hodgson is going nowhere so people need to accept this wether they like it or not and let the feller do his job in turning us around, lets just see what he spends his money on in the Summer and then we can get a better idea if he is going to be the right man for the job, it's ludicrous to judge after 14 games.

Well cause roy has gone down as having worst start in Liverpool recent history, that is fact.

He has had really poor buys from get go thats fact.(even though rafa had his poor signing we just compare first season for both)

Rafa signing first season: Alonso, luis garcia, pellegrino, scott carson, morientes, josemi

Roy singing first season: cole, poulsen, jones, raul,(the others was signed by rafa before he left)

Well don't know about you but the stand out signing has to be cole and raul for roy and for rafa alonso and garcia i know who i would pick out of the pair but i leave deciding up to you.

It seems roy will get to the end of season at least i can't see him going before then, but i can't see him staying longer than that.

As some one stated he is in his 60's and he is not long term future for liverpool.

Even though i don't agree with your post that we should be happy with roy and why most liverpool fans are unhappy. Its not the fact we lost its the way we have lost, its the way we play or should i say don't play.

Its the way his interviews has gone its been very hard to warm to this guy, and the way he has treated some players.

Alan hansen is the last person to listen to about Liverpool he only seems to back them when it suits them so, imo he is not valid at at all.

And well rafa won us the champion league, lets see what roy wins us?

Even though i am rafa supporter, i guess it was time for him to go but roy was not the man for us.

A young manager with attacking minded would fit the build of what Liverpool need now.

I still dont understand what your saying, looking at the way the season has started for all the teams we are still bang on course to finish in the top four, wether we do or not is another matter. Anyone who knows about football will know it's going to take alot longer than five months to change the style of a teams play around. You mention Roy's signings well apart from Raul the signings realisticaly were all we were ever going to get considering the Club was in a mess off the field with ownership turmoil, lets see what Roy does with better funds then we can judge his signings, I cant honestly reckon they will be worse than Benitez with money wasted on Keane, Johnson, Mascherano and Aqualani all around the 20 million pound mark, he even wanted to replace Xabi with Gareth Barry which is a complte joke. The next thing you mention is age, still dont understand why this is a problem, Fergie is showing now signs of stepping down and Wenger and Guus Hidink are older and around the same age, Roy is only two years older then Dalglish and alot of the fans want him so age is no problem at all if the manager is the rite person. Roy Hodgson will get funds in the Summer so am afraid you will have to get use to the idea, like it or not, which I happen to think is the rite decision.

Reclaim if your really saying mascherano is wasted money you really don't know about football. I personally didn't like the way he left but can't doubt he is world class player.

Well Aqualani is proving to be one of best players in italy at the moment, we never got to see him fit at Liverpool with run of games so jury was still out on him.

As i said dude, rafa made some bad signings but he also made some hell off good world class signing/good players .

I guess we see who roy goes for jan, cause i can't see him being here for summer sorry.

King kenny is legend the same way Rafa is past kenny is and i have never felt he should come back as manager, on the board maybe yes.

I know you support roy and your entitled to that and well on you but i have my reason for why i don't want him longer than a season i won't bore you with them as they have been covered with detail.

Only thing i will say is at least don't get deluded, that one or two signing will make roy a world class manager and supports to change to love him.

He has been in game longer than most supports on here has been alive, if he hasn't been recognized as a world class coach by now i doubt he ever will.

Most of all be attacking minded.

And if you want to be fair and defend roy! then at least please don't make him out to be something he is not than a mid table/bottom table at best manager.

Well if that is true you can expect people to speak well of roy when he hasn't been good for 35 years? its double edge sword mate.

My point was he is seen as legend i don't expect him to say Liverpool is best in world and will win league every season. But to mock his own team who made him who he is now? where is the respect? just my opinion
