Mourinho is an inspirational genius though; Rafa's not going to ever sniff such atmosphere. Tactically Rafa is sound, but it's always going to be a case of needing a fit between manager and squad in order to take them to the top. There are very few truly great managers, and Rafa is not one of them, so he needs things to fall neatly into place to a certain degree, and clearly that's not happening at Inter. In his defense he needs fewer things to fall into place than most managers I could name, but he's not perfect. At least he had the guts to change his system to fit the squad, and that's most likely the reason they're struggling.

Really? Are chelsea now benefitting from the youth academy he set up?Even Avram Grant done well with the multi million squad he was left.

That job interview was going so well until I realized I was fukked up on acid in the middle of a cornfield naked and talking to a scarecrow.

in fairness, he has taken over a treble winning side and is fckin them up already. he aint the manager he claims he is, its as simple as that. he can contribute to a club, ive no doubt, but not in a management role. correct

I'm sorry lads and lassies but I feel sorry for Rafa. I really liked him as a figurehead for the club, he represented all that the club used to stand for, he was unassuming, intelligent and generous. Okay he got a bit spikey at the end but given the circumstances of the club and the carry on of many on here I don't blame him at all for that.
However, having said all of that, I never liked him as a manager, I'm glad he's gone, but not glad we have Hodgson in place.
I wish Rafa the very best and I hope he pulls things out of the fire, he is Liverpool through and through and anyone who is a fan of this club deserves our best wishes not our taunts.
