hes worth a punt he plays on the left and we dont have anyone of quality for that position.

nobody from our academy ha been first team quality since gerrard, whether we can see a new top player or 2 come from it in the next 5 years or so is questionable

Roy has exactly the same fear as Rafa. A fear of trying the youngsters. They may get a game now and again but are always the scapegoat when things go wrong. With this season being transitional and probably with no end result, it's the ideal time to give them a go.
