This is the man we need to take us forward.

Young, Ambitious, Driven, Attacking and Talented manager. Everything we need and everything Roy isnt!

Dunk has mentioned him a couple of times over the last couple of weeks. I only hope the links with him are true.

Completely agree has had a flawless record so far and were he to come here and needed some time i would be much happier than i would waiting for Roy to get it right after signing a teamful of 30 yr old english guys.

Learned at the feet of the master and were he to get it right we could potentially have a manager for the next 30 40 years. Think about it no more excuses like 'its a transition year' 'the new coach needs 5 years to pull his socks up.' With NESV we'd finally be on an even footing with Man United.

18 games unbeated sure he doesnt have experience but that hasnt stopped him taking Academia out of the relegation spot and taking Porto back to the top everytime someone has taken a chance on him hes paid them back 10fold. And sure the Portugese league is no Premiership but they have spawned one of the best young managers of our time. Jose something i think

I like this guy and it would be interesting if he came here but Torres is backing Roy:

Torres - Reds are with Roy
El Nino insists Anfield chief has squad on his side

Liverpool striker Fernando Torres has given under-fire manager Roy Hodgson his full backing.

The Spain international has reacted to claims that some of the foreign contingent in the Reds camp has lost faith in the English tactician and they felt former manager Rafa Benitez should have remained in charge.

Hodgson has been the subject of some rough treatment from the Kop faithful too which has included chants for Kenny Dalglish to replace him as manager after last weekend's defeat to Stoke City.

But Torres, who is expected to lead the line in Saturday evening's Premier League clash against West Ham United, has voiced his support for the former Fulham boss.
Trust

He told Spanish radio: "The squad here trusts in Roy Hodgson, and so do I. I have no problems with the manager at all, he has always trusted in me and that's very important to any footballer.

"Although he was here a long time, the Benitez phase at Liverpool is already history. It belongs to the past and now only the present is important to us.

"You have to look forward, not back. Roy is a very serious coach who in the summer explained to me very clearly what he wanted from me. But it is not simple to begin a new project with a different coach in a club where it is always required to fight for every competition.

"You have to adapt to new ways to create a winning team and that is never easy - but the team is reacting.

"Not everything has gone well, but if we can put three wins together then I think the team will be back at the right end of the table, and we'll be more relaxed and play better."

Torres is trying to make the most of a bad hand, I think. Maybe he personally has decided to just get on with the game, which is good, but I can't see how Roy will deliver those 3 consecutive wins with Gerrard out for a month.

I like the look of Andre Villas Boas, and in particular the reference in that article to a certain baseball team who just happen to have the same owners as we do. "Driven", "attacking", and "tactically aware" are not things one could accuse Roy Hodgson of.

can't see him jumping ship before the end of the season. With the start he's had with them this season, if I was him I'd want to see it through.

Would he come to us? Depends on where his ambitions lie and what kind of job appeals to him (i.e rebuilding or taking over someone already successful)

Cant say i know too much about the Porto manager except he seems to be doing very well in the league.

I would actually give him a season or two to see if he is a flash in the pan. No disrespect to our Portuguese fans here but I do believe Liverpool is a much harder job.

What do people want Andre Villas Boas for, the man has only won a mickey mouse Portugese Super Cup his record is as bad as Pellergrini managerial wise and is only the same as Roy's, lets just stick with the manager we have and he;s English.

What cause he is English? i wonder about you relcaim your like a lost child know seem to know jack [oops] about football but always boasting your opinion.

Just so you know the cup he has won is seen in football bigger achievement that anything roy has won in his 35years of experience.

Above all, I would like to be remembered as a man who was selfless, who strove and worried so that others could share the glory, and who built up a family of people who could hold their heads up high and say

'We're Liverpool'.

he has been managing for barely more than a year, THAT'S what you should be focusing on when saying he isn't right for us. To say his record is the same as Roys and as bad as Pellegrinis is utterly ridiculous. How can you start to compare 1 year as manager Vs 40 years as manager
