He's a brilliant talent and i would love to see him at Liverpool, we haven't has a winger like that in many years, he's better than A.Young and only going to get better.

We3 should have made an effort to get him last January or the summer before. He'll cost us at least twice what City paid as he's now an international. Another case of missing the boat like with so many other talented young players that no one at the club wanted to take a chance on.

I don't know that Rafa is to blame for not buying these players. I think it was the money men not having the balls to give young players a go. Look at Ramsey at Arsenal. Great player but we were probably scared of paying £5m for a 17 year old. Walcott too.

How about stop bringing up the past and focus on the future. The question asked was if we could bring him in. Its not entirely impossible, but Henry said today that we wouldnt spend large amounts in January, but that doesnt mean we cant have now or in the summer nonetheless. With the potential sales of Babel, Poulsen, Aqua, Insua and others we could prob scrap up £20mil for his services.

I have to say Johnson would be a great signing and at 23 is a good age.
Now the reality is Man citeh would never sell him to us so we should for get it unless we do a deal to sell Torres to them that would be the only way we could sign him.
The most likely destination would be Sundrland for £10-£12m.
