This was another stupid quote from Roy. The pressure it oo much for him.
It is true that Johnson is not at his best. But to single him out is not right. He should criticise the whole team who haven't been playing well. But most of all, Roy should criticise himself, because so far he's done a poor job.
I dont' see how he thinks this will help Johnson or any of the other players at Liverpool, especially those who are friends with Johnson. It was also stupid timing to make this quote. each time there has been negativity towards him he criticises a player. Think about it, Torres 'struggling from World Cup etc' then 'poulson, had a bad start' we now have Johnson 'form not good enough for England'. Maybe he has a point on all 3 cases but the top managers don't do this. Fergie and Wenger prefer to blame referees etc, this all deflects away from the players performance. Roy blames everyone but himself.

After the coments I read today on SSN (http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11669_6509029,00.html) I think Roy knows he's out, I think NESV are just trying to decide who to appoint!

Also to Poulsen and konchesky.. i believe kelly wont stop until he gives a chance for pacheco to play HAHAHA
But seriously, i think the throw might be useful for us as he is already a good defender..

Hodgson Quote: "The first goal I am not disappointed in the manner of it because that is the manner of most goals here and that is what you have to defend against."
What a silly comment by Roy, he certainly does not know how to win over the fans. He must be the only person connected with the club who was not disappointed by the first goal.
Maybe it was the vicious pace the ball was thrown at or maybe it was the curl Delap put on it that caught the defence out??? As set pieces go, it must be one of the easiest to defend against as it was so predictable but nothing surprises me anymore with the team (except beating Chelsea).

Interesting read http://iainmacintosh.[oops].com/2010/11/15/time-for-change/
Above all, I would like to be remembered as a man who was selfless, who strove and worried so that others could share the glory, and who built up a family of people who could hold their heads up high and say
'We're Liverpool'.

"If the club decide they want to give the job to somebody else, then I'll have to accept that, if that day comes," said Hodgson
"We are short of players, as everyone knows and we don't have so many options.
"The fans can chant for whoever they want and it will be up to the club to decide what they want to do.
"There is nothing I can do about it and I can only continue to do the best job I can do under these circumstances."
He added: "I can't get upset every time the fans chant someone's name and furthermore, we have millions of fans.
"Maybe the travelling fans are showing their frustration because we've lost, they are entitled to do that.
"Fans make their frustrations felt every time we lose, but unfortunately they may have to do that a few more times, because I can't see us going through a season winning every game."
I cannot make this man out? When he came here one of the 1st things he said was that we are "overstaffed" and now we are short of players?
And its your mediocre attitude roy that is upsetting the fans, wake up and smell the coffee!

Just got this from BBC gossip. Just shows we must all be wrong about Roy. He could be in line to replace the baggy faced one at Spurs If its true, i'll drive him there! Tottenham have drawn up a shortlist of possible next managers if Harry Redknapp should replace Fabio Capello as England coach. David Moyes is top of the list, which also includes Guus Hiddink, Roy Hodgson and Rafa Benitez. Full story: goal.com

If i was the owner of a football team, after watching his few months so far with us i wouldn't let Hodgson anywere near my team.
I still think to myself everyday how did we sack Rafa and replace him with Hodgson!!

Stu its your third post and equally as stupid as the other two.
I think its great that you've got an opinion but try putting across in a more respectful way.
Roy is our manager and therefore one of us. Please refrain from the name calling in future.
