By this I mean that without an established and reliable GK, Fabianski, Lehmann and Almunia has cost them at least 10-12 points per season per goalkeeper due to their inadequacies. These Pepe rumours have all stemed from an article in the Daily Mirror by David Maddock. How would Maddock know about this before anyone on here when some people on here are mean't to be geniune insiders who work for the club at the club.

I can't see it happening at all especially this January or next Summer, reasons:

- Reina signed a new contract a few months ago

- Along with Carrragher was only recently declaring his love for club and for everything Liverpool

- When we were in a crisis with the Ownership Reina was the only player really expressing his loyalty and commitment.

- Reina also was quoted saying that anyone who doesn't want to be here should just leave.

DON'T BELIEVE THE PAPERS, IF WE DID THEN GERRARD, TORRES, JOHNSON, REINA and AGGER WOULD ALL BE GONE BY NOW.

sorry matey this rumour is true. Dave Maddock moved to the mirror from the Echo and knows all the Liverpool players well. The GK coach is from the MK Dons and about 68yrs old. His methods are antiquated to say the least. Pepe worked closely with the spanish coach who wanted him to play as a sweeper and move the ball quickly to start attacks. Roy does not like this and prefers two banks of 4 in place before releasing the ball therefore reducing the chances of a breakdown.
Ask yourself how many times this season has Reina go the ball from a corner and legged to the edge of his box only to find no one in a good position? yet up until ths season strikers used to leg it into wide spaces and Pepe used to pick them out quickly. One of the reasons not to leave a striket up front at corners, as they were too easy to mark so it was better to break moving forward.

I do wonder if it came down to Reina vs Roy who would fans choose
