reason juan mata isnt in spain starting squad is because, honestly there are many GREAT players better than him which are bit over priced for liverpool atm.

i reckon it would be go to spend quite alot of money on just a couple of STAR players.. just to help us out abit.

Torres also was crap on WC - but would you sell him? I think Mata would be great for us...but I don't know 30 mln is not to much for us...

what do you guys think about testing arsenal resolve with kieran gibbs if we bid around 6-7 million I wonder if we could get him. Incentive for him would be playing in the first 11 every week

bench honda kuyt ngo skrtel agger kelly

- We are a one striker team, for now that one is Torres, so we might be looking at a new versatile attacking player who could stay on bench too (Honda, Ruiz)
- An ace winger (Young, Hazard, Mata)
- Gerrard is better as a CAM, it means we'll be looking at a new holding midfielder instead of Foolsen (Matuidi, Nuri Sahin, Banega maybe)
- With Agger injuries, Carra and Soto getting old we should invest in a young defender (Phil Jones)
- With Aurelio fitness issues too we mostly get exposed if Konchesky isn't ready enough, so i sure hope that Coentrao rumors are true aswell

Mata is a very good player and has the guile and creativity we need. But for that amount of money i think we can do better if we add a few more quid to get Hazard and Turan who will give us a real attacking edge on the wings.

on a different topic, Torres plays best with him upfront and someone to run from deep to support him. If we have good service and speed on the wings and if we can find someone smart and energetic to support Torres (besides Gerrard) we really have something going for us.
