We're being fed crap football and the players wearing red are going through the motions. Some of them are not up to spec and some of them are taking the p*ss. Few are getting the sh*t they deserve for their performances.
Rafa's gone; he had his time and he was beyond his peak by a year. He too was embarrassing in press conferences. He was baited and couldn't resist.
Whatever our problems, Roy is not the answer. Roy's choices for players, tactics, "stability" do not inspire confidence.
We need to spend some (the point of this thread) and we need to blood some but we need to see some balls from the lads on the pitch and get those with talent playing at the level they can. They aren't, and if they can't, then they should f-off.
As for signings / future ......
Big money on a striker (£25m+); there are some obvious names though I'm not sure who'd be attracted at present.
Decent money on 2 wingers/attackers; Mata, Turan, A Johnson.
No money; Agger back in please. More bench/pitch time for Pacheco, Shelvey, Kelly, Spearing, Amoo, Wilson. Meireles in his proper position consistently.
Square pegs, square holes. Passing, attacking..... Think that's it.

anyway...back to the subject...
i think we need 2 strikers..not the 1 that has been mentioned...we could do with another out and out striker who is a goal threat....maybe Bent , Suarez , ...and a striker who can act as a foil for Torres..maybe Cole , Crouch ...
i also think we will go for wingers....realistically i don't think we will get Ashley Young....i can see us getting SWP for a cut price fee....
I'm not sure how much cash NESV are going to splash in January...i can't see them splashing 30m in January and then another 30-40m come the end of the season....they have already stated they want to build the club from the bottom upwards and i'm not sure they are going to be as flambouyant in the market as we'd like....

You may have to correct me here, but i thought it was that Kirdi bloke that was boasting about spending £30m,i have not actually seen any quotes from NESV on the matter.

They haven't committed a number. Perhaps they'll tell the new guy at the interview.

rite emp, jokes aside now, ok this is your opnion fair enough, could you explain it to me please? in your eyes Roy Hodgson isn't doing as bad as majority feel he is, and you think he has conducted himself in a manner that is "reviving" the liverpool way.
Now to me i think he's a disgrace to the Liverpool way, the man has no fire in his belly, he's a push over, he blames everyone else and never accepts a mistake he's made, constantly goes on about his experience and how good he thinks he is. That isn't the Liverpool way, we decide how good he is, he is supposed to give us his best examples on the field to judge off and show us how he conducts himself in the public eye and with the media.
So far im very dissapointed in him, don't feel he favours the correct football for this club and i don't think he can manage big names i.e Torres, Gerrard etc, and his short reign so far certainly domestically has been a record low for the club.
Now please explain because you have me baffled mate?

"i feel given time to actually do his job and a bit or money to spend that he will get us in the right direction."
great, where going from a team that dominates possession, creates chances to a team that sits back hits teams on the break and has no plan b or c. And has a target man upfront to control long balls sent up to him. At the end of this journey liverpool will be competing in the bottom half of the table
Please open your eyes emp. Where's this "il get the best out of the players by offering a arm round there shoulder" lark. Where's this supposed confidence he was supposedly going to inject in the team.
Blackpool are playing better football than us
we got slaughtered by a under strength everton team.
We've constantly been outplayed in 1st half of matches.
We win at Bolton for the 3rd year running, and he calls it a famous victory.
He chooses not to defend torres when ferguson said he dived cus he didn't want to upset his mate.
He talks to two scandanavian journalists like they where muck off your shoe.
He spoke out like he was against those who where protesting to get the cancers out the club.
Bought poulsen in a player well past his sell by date
sells a promising striker in dalle valle to bring in kontchesky who is just about on par with insua. Insua many could argue is better
brings in merieles his only decent signing and plays him right wing
signs a crocked joe cole ( I didn't want him, I'm probably a select few who didn't)
Get beat by Northampton, a team 3divisions below us
And now he's running the kings name through the dirt. Do you want me to go on?

I think people need to stop over analysing everything Roy says,he did not run Kenny's name through the dirt,he merely said he was a good talent spotter.

i'v been here all along, in shock at the abuse showered on Roy. Said all along he had to be given time. I don't think he has done well but i don't think he has done anything to deserve or suffer some of the bile he has received on here.I haven't been able to see the pool as much as I would have like this yr but what i have seen has been pretty awful ,although i watched the bolton match and its was encouraging . still think given a bit of money roy will be fine. Ummm pot and kettle?
