I would say that everyone is ready for the season to begin and would like to know which players will be wearing Red and which ones have worn a Liverpool shirt for the last time.

central defender: probably not, at least not the highest of priorities.

Alonso replacement? I'd like Ribéry signed with the money if Xabi goes to un-real. Aquilani has been strongly linked but is he fit? Has he even kicked a ball since his ankle op? Don't know enough about him really except he's more of an attacking midfielder than Xabi which is a good thing I feel.

Funds for Silva? I can't see where they'd come from to be honest RedRafa so I'll say no.

Rafa likes to have 2 players per position so a central defender will probbaly come in though it's not priority like 4ever said.
I think we need another striker as Ngog is still learning and Nemeth needs to work on his physical side of his game.

We have 3 central defenders so I doubt it. He will probably bring in a youngster for cover on the right.

Who we bring in will depend on who goes.

Yeah our defence is ok. We have 3 great centre backs, 2 great keepers, Johnson/Degen/(Carra) for right back, left back: Insua/Aurelio/(Johnson) plus Darby and Kelly could play a role.

Midfield: depends on who goes/stays but a class winger would be nice

Rafa's problem is that he doesn't know what do yet until this bleeding Alonso saga is sorted!

We're short at CB - Skrtel injured for a bit... what if Carra or Agger pick up a knock? I don't fancy any of the other defenders at CB really.

A Silva/Ribery/Ashley Young type would be nice...

You don't need 4 centre backs. 3 is enough and use the younger guys for cover.

We will need to sort the midfield with Xabi going and we need more on the wings. We also have Nemeth and Spearing to come through not to mention Pacheco. We may end up playing alot of youth this season.

Would be nice to get some game time out of them and see if they are up to it!! No point continuously playing in the reserves where they are not getting Premiership experience. Some of these guys are old enough and the only way I believe they will develop further is getting games time in the 1st team!
