I think to some extent, everyone believed that a 6"7 striker was better with his head than he was with his feet.

Carroll? think he would do well in the sunday league.

Granted we need players who can play football. From what i have seen Andy can win headers, hold up a ball, pass a ball i believe this is called football?? so yes he does fit the critea of a player who could be useful and as for adam johnson!!! HE IS A WINGER we are on about a striker.

Key word here is "was". Gotta leave the old favourites behind if you want to get anywhere. For me he's just another aging, average footballer now, sledgehammer first touch and all, and we know how well such players right the ship. They don't.

I like Carroll, I think he's an excellent footballer who is on his way to being someone special if he can conecntrate but the problems I have with him is he is a trouble maker whether between team mates or outside of the club and thats something liverpool wont accept. However having said that, I would love to him abroad and take a risk on him. Hes a great talent.

and if we only had 15 million to spend and the choice is down to Carroll or Johnson, the choice is clear. Johnson has so much more to offer us in the long term.

Anyone who thinks Johnson would be available for 15mil must be away with the fairys. A) city will never sell him and B) I'm sure his value would be closer to 25mil than 15mil
