So we do have a highly rated midfielder but young, and instead of using him we want to give him away and find ourselves a new pricey DM, why did we stop making players on our own (Carra, Stevie, Owen......)

first of all its a loan deal to peterborough.

secondly he's not 'our own' because we signed him from iceland.

and lastly spearing deserves to be above him in the pecking order, he's older and been at the club longer.


not every youngster is going to make it at the top level. how many times have you seen him play? for the majority of us probably never. maybe theres a reason for that. loan deals are vital to give players experience. look at daniel ayala, we played him in two friendlies in pre-season and he made 2 mistakes which cost us a goal in both matches. look at boyata at man city, thrown in at the deep end and gets sent off in the 10th minute. the point is you can't teach experience so a loan deal is what he needs to develop his career.

why does everyone get so up tight about every single youngster that leaves the club? i'm all for bringing youngsters through the ranks but not all of them are going to make it and if he was good enough im pretty sure john mcmahon would be having a word in roy hodgsons ear.

I look at the acadamy this way. That it's there to produce players which can be sold to make a profit and every so often produces a player that can play for the 1st team, and at the moment we have.

palsson was a sub last week in the reserves and I'm not sure if that's been the case this season. However It's probably best he goes out on loan, because that reserve league is Shiite and you can't properly judge a player playing against players in and around there age

I think only Suso, Sterling, Jonjo, Pacheco and Kelly have some sort of future at Liverpool.

Dalglish should go out and get more talented youngsters in.

Then why this guy is mentioned as highly rated and Captain for reserves, i think if he has a talent then no Spearing or whoever should be in his way

We need to give them chances but there are many players in line before him. In this case, he needs to go out on loan. Remember, loan deals can be called back in at any time.
