I think a lucas type player is necessary in a team , at least in the squad, the idea being that he mops up its just a shame that he doesn't put himself about more and or produce passes that are a bit more piercing, he is 5 times the player poulson is. One thing that annoyed me last season was the rafa bashers incessantly going on about him, he's not that bad. I dont think he had an excellent game and i don't rubbish lucas he is one of the few is proud to play for liverpool ( i mean genuinely proud not like half the foreigne lot who say '' yes i always dreamed of playing for livingpool " who dont give a toss where they play), I think the blackburn midfield was non existant and he had more time to use the ball. I s till think that lucas may improve. I don't think babel or maxi will improve, poulson enough said,
