That may be so but he's better off in his natural position at CB, where his footballing abilities are very much needed. And while he may be quicker than the likes of Poulsen, he isn't quick enough or mobile enough to play DM.

My fear is that if Roy is still here in Jan, Agger will be sold. Agger is better than any of the CBs we currently have but Roy has a problem with him.

plus he's been injured

I wonder whether he is really injured or Roy trying to proove that he is in charge. I am seen similar stories on other sites relating to Johnson who is not really injured.

well if i was a player and he was saying i was injured and i wasnt id make it known i wasnt maybe some will say i should no my place but agger is best out of our back 4 and if he cant get a game when he is the only player we have that can carry the ball forward and push the team up the pitch then id be looking for another job its clear roy is out of his depth lets just hope it gets resolved very soon , as for the main topic id rather him play there than poulson who is dire.

I think Agger would struggle against small fast mobile player's like modric,fabregas, so my opinion would be no,as a centre back he's a different class to carragher or anyone else at the club but Roy will probably offload him in January for £5m or £6m as his style isn't to Roy's taste.

Between Roy and Agger,the choice should be easy...

That's the real problem isn't it? If everyone is fed up with what is going on behind the scenes, how amazing will the next manager need to be in order to keep them come January? All the more reason to sack the old fart before he utterly destroys the football club.

I think he would struggle in midfield, but I have seen a couple of defenders who play that role such as P Neville, Heitinga, Kompany so who knows? When he played as a LB which is not his usual possession he was kinda nervous there so im not sure if he can cope with a completely new role.
