I would like to see the reds be bold in the transfer window.

I hope Frank Rijkaard is named Liverpool boss. I thought for a long time that it would be great for a dutch manager to be installed as boss. Whether it be Rijkaard or Hiddick.

I hope they chase players with attacking flair! Imagine if we could pull of the signings of Sergio Ageuro and Luis Suerez?

Compine that with say Steven Defour and Ruiz from Twente.

If Rijkaard came in these good things could happen and one impossible.

1. Go for Turan
2. Go for Affelay
3. Will be able to attract decent names to the club.
4. Finally attacking football

Now the impossible

1. Might be able to get babel to play at his full potential.

preffered him to hodgson in the summer but he has a poor track record to be fair. would be nice to see us playing like arsenal week in week out though.

just feel that if the manager goes its crucial we get the perfect man in for the job. i would approach unai emery or guus hiddink before i went for the likes of o'neil, pellegrini, koeman or rijkaard

all this talk of kenny daglish making a return is just nostalgic desperation. i would have given him the job before hodgson. now its time to look to rebuilding our future and not to the past.

Agreed. That is why i did not mention Kenny who is a far more useful person to influence the younger generation of players to join the Liverpool ranks/academy. My choice would be 1. Del Bosque, followed by a close second - Hiddink.

Rijkaard plays good football and I'm sure he will improve us (i'm sure we will notice it straightaway) But if that improvement enough? IMHO he wont take us back to the top.

Be sure to keep an eye out for Juan Carlos Garrido's (Villareal) development in the next couple of seasons. He has got them to be one of the most exciting passing teams in Spain.
