Never mind investing in the best players available thats what got us into trouble in the first place in the last 20 years, we need to spend sensibly within our means, we have to rely on our managers good judgement on a player and run the club much like Wenger does at Arsenal, that needs to be out blueprint for the future.

Nice theory. If we go that route, we will be in the third division trying to get a condom company with a history of leaking to sponsor us. That well thought plan took years to develop at Arsenal and I agree it was great, but we need to win first, be on strong footing and then begin developing and pulling from our youth. Having a stronger team now will allow us to mix in youth in the Europa and those lesser PL games we are currently getting our assses handed to us in now.

Not laughing at you at all. Compared to this lot, I'd take Charlie in a heartbeat. At least he wants to play.

i know man, no offense to blackpool the other week but we should be doin them over 3-4 nil, well thats what we should demand from any squad of 11 playing for LFC, but we just dont get it atm with the poor squad that needs taking apart and put new better players in place and of course a good attacking manager

Liverpool prepare £20m bid for Arshavin

Liverpool's new owners are ready to finance a £20m bid for Arsenal's Andrey Arshavin in January.

The Russian maestro notched four goals in one game at Anfield in April 2009, so Liverpool fans will hope for more of the same if a transfer deal is concluded.

At this stage, it is unclear whether or not Arsenal will be prepared to sell the 29-year-old.
