I know hes injured now but does anyone think we miss him? At least he could create and score goals!!
I just think the players we have flogged over the last few years has been shocking. Sissoko, Crouchy, Xabi ( i know that was on tha cards), Yossi, Riise even arbeloa
compared to who and what we have replaced them with now.
Poulson ffs, Lucas...Konchesky, Ngog its pathetic and not acceptable.

hmmm, might have been a good time to sell him actually, just creeping into that retirement zone where he is losing his edge. miss him in his prime though. i miss everything that used to be good about lfc, because its all gone.

I think up until his injury it looked as if Chelsea had got the better deal with benny. Cole is a shadow of the player he was, but time will tell, if we where playng brilliant I think that's the time when we'd see the best out of cole

It just shows that we did have a good squad, instead of selling alonso and replacing him with aqualani we should of been keeping alono aswell. Same goes for likes of bellamy, keeping him when we got torres.
This would be our team if we wouldn't have been forced to sell

benny was a top a top player and could hold the ball up but you wouldent see him go into a 50 50 tackle. joe cole looks cr@p and as though hes here for the pay check.

although you say we couldnt afford to keep thos players we went out and replaced them. dossena 7m, lucas 5m, aquilani 20m, johnson 18m, so its not as if we couldnt of afforded to keep them.
getting rid of crouch was an error as was riise and now benny

we are paying a considerably lower wage bill now tho.
We couldnt afford the current wage bill with the former owners because they had no money.
Purslow dropped the wage bill by a massive ammount and then we started signing again. Now that NESV have got a bit of money no doubt we can push the wage bill up again with decent signings.
