After Everton-
"I refuse to sit here and accept that we were outplayed or in any way inferior."
"That is as good as I have seen a Liverpool team play under my management."
“Agger missed two weeks with the injury he picked up in the Sunderland game but he made a miraculous recovery in order to go and play for Denmark where he got injured again.
“I don’t know what the state of play is going to be for him yet.”
“I think it would be a sad day for Liverpool if I was sacked because that isn’t their style,” he said.
“Liverpool have been quite the opposite. They allowed Bill Shankly 14,15 years to build the club and then spent the next 10 years making certain the people who worked with Shankly carried it on.
“After that, other managers always had time, so when I’m asked that question I find it insulting.
“It’s an insult to me, of course, but it’s even more insulting to the club. They knew what they took on. They didn’t employ me lightly. They took two months to make a decision.
“They interviewed a lot of people before they decided I was the right man and they paid a lot of compensation to Fulham.
“For me, the job is not just two and a half months. I think it would be very sad for football if, having been feted as one of England’s best managers, it was decided that suddenly I’m no good after all.
“I hope I will get a fair crack of the whip here. I lost five of the first six games at Fulham and drew one. I remember feeling fairly depressed and suicidal but we moved on. Bad starts can turn into good things.”
Seriously Roy, Just shut the [oops] up!
