Real are offering 3.5 million for Arbeloa
and looks likely to go through as he only has 1 year left of his contract.
Monster's agent still trying to get him a move to Barca though no official bid has arrived.
Players linked are Silva,Distin and Aquilani

i thought rafa had said negredo doesn't have the quality he is looking for? if so why would he want him???

as for young please no emp!! how can you moan about silva for being lightweight when young is the ultimate in lightweights?? he goes missing the moment someone tackles him - the word pussy comes to mind when you watch him play! no way on earth has he ever shown anything worth paying 20quid for let alone 20mill!

Negredo scored 19 goals in la liga last season so he can't be that bad.
not sure about aquilani as I haven't seen much of him.
With the money from Arbeloa we can buy Distin and he has premier league expereince.
Silva would add something different to our attack

Negredo is a good player, and he should fit in nicely in the premiership because he's a strong lad.
Aquilani is a very good player with a fantastic shot. He's a more offensive midfielder than Alonso but if Masch stays that would'nt be a problem. The only concern is his injury history...

If Alonso leaves we will probably get Aquilani, Silva and maybe Negredo

great free kicks? remind me how many goals did this lad who was playing as an out and out winger with no defensive responsibility and took all the free kicks for villa score??? he is over rated coz he is english

yes he can dribble but he is like peter beagrie and will do it when he should be crossing and only when he isn't worried that he might get a kick

great corners? villa had 2 of the best headers of the ball in the EPL (prior to laursen's injury and consequent retirement) yet they weren't all that threatening from corners ... again you over rate average players - his corners are good no more

he is not direct - as i have already said he is one for farting about on the ball when he should either drive at the goal or put a cross in - which is why he didn't score enough

im not nit picking i have just watched him play - he was crap most of the season and it would have been noticed but for the fact that the rest of the villa side were even worse

young has ability i will give you that but he is still a coward who runs and hides when the going gets tough - i would love to see the evidence that anyone is interested in him because the only teams that have made any kind of enquiry so far are spuds and everton - hardly top teams!!
