He was actually quite ruthless when he took over the Sox. However he does not do anything without consideration. He will change the manager only if he has someone of quality available to replace him. Hopefully soon.

I am also quite sure he will put serious money in January, I just can not see him wasting it on a loosing manager with poor decision making skills, so I see Roy out. Henry has never been one to shy away from the hard choices and to really have to remember how much he and the other members of NESV like winning over everything else. I think it gives them a collective chubby (it does the same for me).

Well when John henry took over the red socks he sacked the gm and manger very quickly

So he isn't slow to take stock and make the changes

So fingers crossed

yea, i've heard about the changes he did at red sox straight away when he took over so he will probably make changes here too if he think it's necessary. but i think roy will stay in charge for some time to come considering what henry and werner said. it's not like you go out in public backing the manager just to fire him a week later...

Roy of the Rovers. What a joke. he doesn't know his arse from his elbow. Get rid before it's to late. Be a man Roy and Feck Off, you're not big enough for our GREAT Club. Oh yeah you'll be going with £3 mill of our transfer money, you're not that soft after all...

Perhaps they give him two weeks. However, they may work it out.."Roy, it's not working out, we need you to man up and step down, we"ll make sure it's done with the respect and honor you deserve and ensure your fees are paid..."

"Otherwise, we'll sack your sorry arse and take it in the chin for sacking you so soon but the fans at least will understand, and we can live with that in the long run."

Henry is a realist, very practical.

i would like to see hogson brutally sacked, i know he gets a damn good pay off but the fans would love for henry to show a clinical side of business and how he goes about getting what he wants to make things right

i hope he can turn it around but i have absolutely zero belief in him doing so. i was of the opinion that we should give him some time when people said get rid already after the birmingham game. but since then he has given me no reason at all to continue backing him and comments like this doesn't make it any better.

"In the second half, we did everything the team could possibly do. We played well, created chances, limited them to very few and put them very much on the back foot. Unfortunately, by that time we were 2-0 down."

"I don't feel it to be a crisis because I feel the way we have played [against Everton] I don't think anyone would really believe that's the level of football a team in the bottom three or four would play."

Roy can't be blamed for a great deal that is going on with this team at the minute. He has had an impossible mission to complete, with almost zero funds. (Somebody else spent it all before he got here!)

However...what worries me, is that if Roy cant get 120% out of evey one of those players, very very soon and get this team over achieving.....we will find our selves in a position where it won't matter how much cash we try to spend in January. Players of the sort that we are going to need to get bak to the top half of the table, will not be interested in coming to Anfield regardless.

Worse still, if Roy is not able to extract more from this poor to average squad and things don't improve we will be considered relegation fodder....and the squad will weaken as the only players we have which are top drawer may be plucked away from us....

I fear that money may not be the answer here.....Roy finds himself in a position where the next 2 1/2 months will decide whether the outside world sees us a club on the up...or the next Leeds. The outside world's view of the club will determine whether we can attract high calibre players for anything but inordinate transfer fees and salaries.

On today's evidence a lot has to change for this side to stay in the Premiership because in mid October the table does not lie....we are in the drop zone on our merits.

Come on boys and come on Roy, it's the very future of the Club we are fighting for!!
