This thing puzzles me.

What is so attractive about the supposed 'higher bid'?

If Peter Lim pays more, the extra cash will go straight into hicks' and gillett's pockets no? That's because the sale is done before RBS recalls the loan and owns LFC.

Can anyone verify this?

Not sure either, I think it could be directed to pay down that remaining pocket of debt or "running debt" that the club said would remain as part of their operational expenses and is something RBS is OK with the club having (it gives them interest payments) and allows further borrowing for the future. I think Lim other money he's directed at players 60mil can be specifically directed at players and not the owners. It would only be in the agreement that he come up with the funds at transfer time and not during the sale.

Honestly, I do not know what to think, but I have a feeling the board still made the right choice with NESV. People have said that if Lim was serious, he would have made a much higher initial bid, if he had, that would have definately gone to H&G so he was doing the smart thing not going so high as to provide them the cash, which now may bite him in the back now for trying to do the right thing.

Still I have to go with NESV due to their experience with sporting clubs and as a group, they do have more cash than Lim and I think they will invest it wisely. Additionally, I trust Martins judgement on this.

Just glad H&G are out.

It could be out of the frying pan into the fire with either of them. I hope not and I don't think it will be. Out of the 2 i'd prefer NESV as they are alreading into sports club owning.

I have to say though, i'm a little suprised that no one like that Khalifa or DIC haven't popped up especially as the club is going for £300m!

it has to be NESV.

they have lots of experience from sports (although not football) and most importantly they been very successful. they've also got experience when it comes to the stadium issue.

i don't get a good feeling about lim. maybe he's a nice guy with lots of money but he's got no experience at all when it comes to investing them in a sports team.

Have to agree Swede. Collectively NESV has much more funds than Lim and they know how to invest. I am a Sox fan and what they did for us and Boston has been remarkable. On another note, Henry and the investors really do not like to loose. They will put what ever they think is needed into developing a winning team even if they have to fire everyone at the club and start over.

not to happy about the lim choice... he only has a reported 1bn worth. now i know thats a lot of money to have but i think he would be in it for the short term. NESV seem to have been there and have a buiseness plan theres no point in a sugar daddy coming in spending x amount on players etc then getting bored. we need a owner that see us as a long term investment that doesnt only invest in the present but also in the future we need to be more comercialised and we need to concerntrate on bringing in the best your talent we can find. All in All i think NESV will be an ideal choice based on there past. as for our soon to be ex owners i would liek to say HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA bent over and pineapple inserted!!!
