I joined the SOS last year, I agree, the Munich songs sang at Christmas last year (I wernt a member then) that was totally out of order and the burning of the flag showed some of the members they have there are bad w ankers. However, they do offer alot more than what people have seen some idiots doing. I joined as they do have a point as where ownership should be talking to the fans to make sure the same situation doesn't arise again. They do also offer a voice from fans to the club. Look at the 1st video on this link on there site, it does show that they are there for the majority of us http://www.spiritofshankly.com/news/September-2010-EGM-_-Video.html So you thought thy were totally out of order, and the burning of the flag was shameful, but then decided to join up immediately after?! Lol. They are nobodies whoa re giving the club a bad name. You can't say they have a point. Every fan has a point that Hicks and Gillett shoudl be gone and have messed up the club, but that point and many others doesn't belong, nor was originated by SOS. You say they are a voice for fans. Well they're not a bloody voice for me. I'm just pointing out they just don't offer protests and marches like alot of people seen to do. Like I said watch the videos on that link and base your opinions of what's happening and what they do offer apart from the marches and protests that uve seen

Total gang of wan*ers those S.O.S. lot, they make out they are the voice of the club when they are not and when you dont agree with them they accuse you of being on Hicks and Gillett's side. This unnoficial organisation was organised as a protest group nothing more and nothing less so once the two American Owners have left the club they should do the honourable thing and disband but they wont because they have got used to the feeling of power they seem to think they have within the club. I can remember a couple of sesons ago when results were going quite round about the time we beat Madrid and United and there was not a peep out of them against the owners all of a sudden once things returned to normal and the results started going bad again they were all out in force protesting again, they are a complete joke.

Yeah, any group that uses the name of a deceased legend is out of order if you ask me. Shanks can't speak for himself now. So don't speak for him.
Although he probably wouldn't like the current situation (he took on worse remember, can't see a manager nowadays painting the stands like shanks did) no "Supporters" club should use the name of a past great in there slogan...assumes all Shanks fans should be members.
Their extremists, entitled to their view like the rest of us but, ultimately representing a minority.
now, I do remeber a story of shanks being so [oops] off with his players, that he made them run around anfield and L4 in their full gear and boots...to show to the fans that players what he expested...think we're reaching that point in time again..

They do not speak for me. Hated them as much as H&G for burning our flag...Full stop. Nothing they do redeem themselves after that one. Yes as an American, H&G shamed me, but those SOS feckers do not get that right as well.
On a side note, really hoping that once H&G are out and buried arse up somewhere, all that Fu**8King Yanks stuff will end. Just a thought. We're not yelling Stupid little island inbred crooked tooth limey every time the Redknaps open their mouths.

Any name-calling is utterly inappropriate for an adult organization. Calling the owners 'yanks' or 'cowboys' simply shows the lack of intelligence controlling this organization. Get over yourselves already! Yes, many American people are [oops] schemers, but the same may be said for Chinese or even British people. So lumping everyone of that nationality together into a category you don't like just because some [oops] from the country [oops] on you is retarded.
