I think its unfair that he gets singled out. He hasnt been the torres we know but lets face it, the only player we know and can recognise on the pitch lately is pepe reina. The whole team is not performing and I blame the whole team for the form of torres because he has received zero service this season as Carra also noted out in an interview. I hope he can recover quickly for the derby in a couple weeks and we never know, he might score a couple and get back to his usual form. Every striker goes through this process of bad form (look at rooney), and it can turn around in a single game. As for selling Torres, it really depends if they money is going to be reinvested in the team. If there is a gurantee that all the 50-70m will be used to buy players then I think its best we sell him because unfortunately he only plays a half a season and thats just not good enough.

You're half right. But I don't think the players aren't prepared to play for Liverpool. You say it like pride and motivation are things you can turn off and on, but you're wrong. Maybe they've forgotten the pride that goes with the shirt, but when it's hard to play for the man yelling in your face you realize that passion is just a dream.

Football is not a one-man game. If 9 other players play like [oops] and gives no quality support whatsoever, don't expect torres to deliver every week.

It's the same for players like Messi. Put him in our current team and he'll look ordinary too.

Bottom line is - if you want to catch a good fish, you've got to have good rod, line and bait. If you have a broken rod and tangled line, there's no way you can catch good fish even if you have good bait.
