well said dunk. roy deserves criticism but he's far from the only one responsible for this mess. those over paid "professionals" on the pitch should be able to deliver so much more than what they've done so far.

Hi Dunc,
Couple of points re your editorial.
1. Making Kenny the no.1 I think would lift the roof of both Anfield and Melwood. The man is a walking, living, breathing legend and would lift any dressing room he walked into. So for me if come Christmas, we are still in the bottom half of the league, I think Roy will have been given ampel time to have turned us around and it would be time to say out goodbyes.
I agree with your point about getting the lads to put a shift in. (on facebook, I sent you a message ranting and raging about what I would do to the little bliters).
2. If (for arguments sake) the following happened:
a. Takeover by wealthy, responsible owner. b. Roy gets boot. c. Kenny takes over. d. Kenny makes 3 LFC-standard signings, and clears out the likes of Konchesky and whoever he feels is not right. e. We start winning again playing pass and move footie. f. Management we have Sammy and Kenny, a foreign owner, and 11 lads who play like Liverpool, let me then ask you.
Would we then be playing in the Liverpool way ? I think personally we would !!
Grtz, Andy
The might of Liverpool will rise again.

Reacting to your video. the lastest about the players not giving 100% to Rafa and now to Roy. I think the rot has started indeed 2 years ago, and I think what has happened is that the players got it into their heads (after a really hard season which saw us punch a little abovee our weight and finish 2nd), that they were not capable of more.
Now Dunc, I have said on a number of occasions that regardless of you thinking you are the best or the worst, both ways, you are right. IN OTHER WORDS, if you think it and believe it then you open the door to it, and you can and invariably will become what you believe. The only way you will not achieve it, is if you stop believing what you started to believe in the first instance.
Now after this, comes work-ethic and passion. A focus of mind and a devotion to duty. There comes a real, massive, all out action to go for it. Every training session has to follow that goal of what you believe in. Every drop of sweat, every tear, every drop of blood has to be for that cause. And as players, no-one should be allowed to loose sight of what we/they believe in.
Now in this 2nd stage, there is a lot of a good manager involved. The manager has to remind everyone what track they are on, and remind them that he has their backs regarding supporting them when they play well, training schedules. But the manager has to be clear from the outset to them and say: "Lads, I believe in you bunch of ladies. And I reckon you are good enough for 1 premiership title. This season we are going to try and win 1 premier league title." He then also has to say: "...and this is how we are going to achieve it". (And explain his methods and convince the players that this is the way to success).
(About Roy as a time out). Roy keeps changing the goals in response to the press. One day he says we are going to do better than last year, next it is a fight for relegation, next it is a difficult situation etc etc.. So he is clouding the goal.
The third stage is doing what you agreed upon and talking about how it is going. Its about being 100% truthful with each other, even when the truth hurts. Even when we just got beat 3-0. This is also where a good coach comes in, because Rafa always had the team psyched up for the next game when we got beat. We always seemed motivated and up for it, even if we did play badly.
Anyway, that is my take on the little snot-noses and what is required to get them back on track.
Wolf.
The might of Liverpool will rise again.

i agree with this Dunk, the FA should step in a put a scale in for all players, across the league, because the essense of that game is gone, each big headed player is only chasing his biggest salary. It not fair to the fans and the game.
Take a example of adebayor, he want to hop out of city to the next big club. TTTTTOOOO MUCH PLAYER POWER.
The sea, will be the sea, whatever the drops philosophy!

i agree to a certain extent about the players not performing but i now its down to roy to turn things around and motivate the players and he clearly isnt. i was at the game yesterday and not once did roy come off the bench and give orders to the players, there were numerous times that we tried to play the ball and there was no movement. as i see it the players look like they dont no what they have to do on the pitch or where they should be,theres players out of position just giving the ball away. also rafa never had us at the bottom of the league i do think he had to go but i have never supported roy as i think he is way out of his depth at liverpool and signing christian poulson i can not recal a worst player i have seen play for liverpool.

This isn't a new problem(players not performing for the last 2 years) We had this with redknapp and company . The spiceboys couldnt play for toffee. For me, it happens when there is a malaise at a club and obviously there is one at liverpool. The problem is if you have 'weak management' sorry for me that means hodgson, this kind of thing becomes ingrained. I think the question of foreign players is interesting and it is crucial for me to have only foreign players in if they do something special for the team. If you buy a mediocre / inconsistent foreign player and he is surrounded by others of the same kind it becomes really hard to instill drive in the team. It seems to me that gerard is on his own in terms of matching will and ability nearly every match (carragher has the will) Cole. With united when they started winning championships he had a great blend many of the team were english born and they 'added on foreign players as and when. All managers make bad buys but I can only imagine that there is no spirit left in the team anymore as there are a lot of disgruntled foreign players. I'm not saying this is why liverpool are rubbish at the moment . For me its 99 percent the managers fault. Because you can suck and get results or play well and get results that suck. Everything about hodgson sucks. Except he is a 'nice guy' I bet the media love him. My main gripe with hodgson is that he doesnt know how lucky he is he has walked into a job where he has talented squad and he insists on them 'dumbing down' and playing donkey football. Sorry for me that is suicidal and explains why they are not performing and incidentally they performed not too bad in the two occasions where he took poulson off. That says a lot for me. I hated the spiceboy generation I don't hate these players. Maxi is picking up his pay and so is johsnon but I can see most of them trying as individuals (not maxi htoughIt's so sad how the team has degenerated. I agree that the degeneration is not all down to hodgson he has only been here 5 minutes but he has proved he will never get this team playing its not about motivation its about everyone knowing what they are doing and with some inkiling of where they are going to be playing. Suicidal tactics our worst nightmare

Look. Back in the 60's when I used to stand on the Kop, singing my heart out with all the others who were merrily p1ssing down a rolled up Echo, the players weren't actually on such fantastic wages. They played with total and utter pride...Shanks wouldn't have allowed it any other way.....they showed fight and spirit ALL of the time, and you didn't read about all the shinanigans and goings on, on and off the field that we have to endure on a regular basis now. I'm absolutely sickened seeing and reading what goes on now. The game is just one great big bloody money money money grabbing orientated circus, and it makes me want to f'kin puke, constantly and violently.
I mean, what in gods name is going on when Nobby Styles is so skint that he's got to resort to selling his World Cup winners meadal....iirc. He and all the others of that era played their absolute bollox off for both their respective teams and country, WITH PRIDE AND PASSION.
I could bloody weep quite openly now, having to watch all this utter durge, and read all this crap in the news. The whole game is now rotten to the core, with little or no values anymore, and I'm not just talking about our beloved team here either.

Dunk just watched your vid , i agree with most of it , i will never agree with you about benitez as i believe he was part of the clubs problems with his toxic style of club management and loads more reason to many to list for me , and maybe hodgson isn't the man and your spot on about that its bad now but its by far not all his fault but he hasn't helped himself and up to now he can't be backed like he should be plus he has been on a hiding to nothing since day one , But you are SPOT ON 100% correct about the players yes its easy to blame poulson or lucas easy targets them 2 , but its is the international star players who are an utter disgrace , torres ,johnson kuyt, cole to name a few who need to take responsibility for there own actions your also spot on about any player who don't want to be here JUST LEAVE whoever it is torres or maxi or whoever if they want to go the door is there go through it .
