Hi Guys,

Im not a regular poster on here but I feel thought I'd just get your thoughts on this. To me Torres is a hero and arguably one of the world's top strikers but he spent a large part of last season injured and now hes picked up another injury.

I don't think that he's been the same player since he left for the world cup and you can see that his attitude is clearly not one of a man who is soley focused on Liverpool.

Surely there is an argument for selling him in January or the summer trying to get £50/60 million seeing as there are a few clubs that seem to be willing to pay that for a sicknote and then using the money to buy one 25m striker and two 10m strikers and rebuilding what to be honest is a champsionship strikeforce at best? Thoughts guys?

Depends who the owners are at the time,if we still have those cancers then whats the point,we will get freddie eastwood and the rest of the money will disappear like alonso and mash.
I would favour keeping the kid and investing in better players to service him better, which looks like wishful thinking at the minute, just think he looks so isolated at the minute with the style of play we have adapted.

It's fairly clear he doesn't want to be here. Didn't exactly look in agony when he went off yesterday. Hope I'm wrong but he looks like he's working his ticket.

He's still world class, but have to agree his injury record is a bit Darren Anderton. I wouldn't sell in January though. We might get Citeh to pay £60m, but no-one else will. I don't think he'd go to them either. Barca are the only club that would interest him outside of us, and they wont have that kind of money in January. Makes sense what you're saying, getting three quality players for the price of one who's out of this world on his day, but injured too much. But if we are going to capitalise on him, we should wait until next summer when there's more than one buyer in the market, and when we might be in an entirely different situation (ie new rich owners, as opposed to the Championship which is where Woy is bringing us)

Ye I agree, sell him at the end of the season if your going to. I've had enough of the moaning cun t. I got a txt off me mate yday which I put in another thread.

"A steward told ...... that there's [oops] all wrong with torres an he got changed an went straight home"

this wouldn't suprise me. Footballers get away with everything. Look at Rooney and his supposedly bad ankle? Fergie was covering for him so it wouldn't suprise me if Roy is doing the same to either keep him off international duty or cus torres got the fckin hump

Its not just Torres. None of them look happy at the moment. They have just gone from one defensive minded manager that plays players out of position to another. I'd be hacked off too. We need the new owners to come in and get a footballing manager and we'll see a different side to all of the players (fingers crossed!).

Torres is a walking disgrace if he is not sulking he is always injured, the man should of been sold this summer. All we have now is another season where this man plays in less than half the games, half of them he will be tripping over his lip because he does'nt want to be here and in the January or the Summer we will lose over 20 million on his value because nobosy will risk big money on a cross between Darren Anderton and Keiran Dyer injury wise. Sorry we have missed the boat big time last summer by not cashing in on this injury plagued loser.

Look. All the failures we've had are in the end, down to the crap the majority of these tw@ts have been playing.
If they can turn it on for the 2nd half, they can damned well do it in the first half too. mad

Torres is taking over in the sulking stakes where gerrard left off from last season.
Get your arse into gear laddy, and start performing for your obscene wages that THE FANS are actually funding in the main, instead of skulking around with a moody face and constantly arguing with other players and the ref, or simply get TF out of here.

My patience with him and 90% of the rest of them has now departed.
