That reminds me of a book I read called Liverpool Greats and they had a few shankly quotes.

There was another one about if Everton were playing in his front garden he said he would draw the curtains' From another era all that stuff

My personal favorite is when shankly was talking to some Italian reporters and told his interpreter "just tell them i disagree with everything they're saying" the man was a complete gem, top-to-toe

Shankly was a great innovator. He would have been at the top in any era including todays game.
