oh i see, putting haha at the end makes your point stronger does it?
actually my advantage is that i DONT live in merseyside, and have a better perspective. of course there will always be people who dont want anything to change, but change is a fact of life, and i would rather see Merseyside United top the table then look at efc and lfc battle for 16th spot each year.
I think its a viable option and i for one will, on occassion, champion it from here on in.

Mate, we miss out on one season of CL, make a bad start to a season and you think we cannot beat Real Madrid? No wonder you think we should merge with Everton.
With respect Flames, it is a good job our players don't think like that otherwise we would convince ourselves that we are a seriously mediocre team.
If Merseyside United were ever formed and Liverpool ceased to exist, then I would stop watching football in the premier league and would support AFC Liverpool.
Nothing against Everton or their fans, we are all from the same Pool but death first.
.. and by the way, I thought Del's tiger-skin suitcase, capri-gear and drug dealer shades were serious class. :-)
The might of Liverpool will rise again.

16th spot? that won't happen, we will be bought at some stage and things will come good. We aren't going to break records this season but we will be atleast 10 places away from 16th.
Yes things do change, but not things like that, not here. The whole red & blue side of the city thing is part of its makeup and will never change.
If you spoke to a red from the city and a blue from the city and told them that you thought that would genuinely be a good idea, depending on what type of people they were they would either give you a hidin or just laugh at you. Scouse or not surely as a Liverpool supporter you wouldn't want to seriously see that happen to our club?
It will never happen so im not that arsed to be honest, its more the fact an LFC supporter thinks its ok to say that.
Oh and the haha thing was because its a joke what your proposing.

Dingo speaks like a Red Flames. You see how he looks upon a bad situation and sees it getting better? Doesn't matter to me that you are not from Merseyside, but the notion of Everton and Liverpool as one team is ridiculous. Do you see Arsenal and Spurs doing the same, Citeh and Utd? No.
We will get taken over, sooer or later it will happen. Once the top get sorted out again and some money goes to the manager for 3-4 quality signings, Liverpool will be challenging properly.
The future is RED, not blue, and certainly not purple.
The might of Liverpool will rise again.

At the end of the day were Liverpool FC we will always be a big club, no matter what the Yanks do in my opnion they couldn't kill this club were just too big.
We'll go thru bad times but eventually reach the good times, but we will never ever cease to exist.

my point is, if we DONT get out of this hole, id be all for it, because it could get to a stage where we would have nothing left to lose. we have already fallen chronically behind the rest of the top teams. more than you guys realise. we havent played well for a long time, and i can assure you that not qualifying for this years CL wasnt the catalyst for my idea. but maybe when we dont qualify for the next 5? 10? how will we feel then?. and of course we could be struggling for 16th. were down around there already.
i think we should keep it in mind. being succesful means doing what it takes, its not about arguing with your neighbour down the road about which sh*te team is less sh*te. i dont want to be cracking out my istanbul dvd in years to come as the only source of footballing joy in my life.
